Online Second Grade Overview
Our second grade program is part of our online Missouri elementary school, which is tuition-free for families across the state. We offer a flexible online platform, certified Missouri teachers, and a strong focus on individual growth to support students academically, socially, and emotionally.
Second grade students in our virtual school benefit from fewer distractions, focused attention, and a learning environment that helps them thrive.
How Does Online Second Grade Work?
Online learning works in a similar manner to in-person learning. Students follow a daily routine that blends live virtual instruction with self-paced learning activities. This structure offers some of the stability students are used to while giving families the flexibility they need.
Each student is supported at home by a Learning Coach, most often a parent or guardian, who provides encouragement and helps with daily tasks. Our teachers lead engaging, standards-aligned lessons and maintain close communication with families to help every learner stay motivated and on track.
For families looking ahead, we also offer online middle school and high school options in Missouri to support long-term learning goals.
Live SessionsStudents log on each day and engage with the material through scheduled live lessons and independent study.
Learning CoachesLearning Coaches (often a parent or guardian) provide structure and encouragement at home.
Regular Check-insRegular check-ins with teachers and Student Success Coordinators help your child stay on track
24/7 Platform AccessStudents and parents have 24/7 access to course content and other planning tools.

Online Second Grade Curriculum
Our second grade curriculum is fully accredited and aligned with Missouri Learning Standards. Students build skills in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies through interactive, engaging lessons led by certified teachers.
